Seventeen-year-old James Charles broke ground last October when he was named CoverGirl's first male spokesperson. Since then976 Archives Charles has been experiencing all of the blessings of sudden fame, appearing on Ellen, starring in commercials with Katy Perry, and expanding his already extensive group of loyal Twitter followers.

Those followers were in for an unfortunate surprise today however, when Charles tweeted and deleted an extremely insensitive tweet about the often deadly virus, Ebola.

Twitter user @ImTheBombDotCom caught a screenshot of the quickly deleted tweet.

The CoverBoy received immediatebacklash for his culturally insensitive tweet.

With criticism quickly amounting on Charles' timeline, the famous teen issued a short apology.

And then a longer one.

After many users pointed out the model's error calling the continent of Africa, containing 54 countries, a "country," (woof pt. 2), he resurfaced on Twitter to fix his mistake.

Damn Charles, do better.
