You can't play with a Super NES Classic Edition yet -- and Oh Mihell, you likely won't get one at all (lolcry) -- but now you can at least read about what you'll be missing!
In what is almost certainly a troll, Nintendo posted the manual for Star Fox 2online. This is significant because Star Fox 2has never been officially released, and will make its debut with the SNES Classic on Sept. 29.
SEE ALSO: The saga of 'Star Fox 2,' Nintendo's legendary lost game, coming soon to SNES ClassicThe manual runs through all the stuff you'd expect: story, controls, and basic how-to-play looks at combat, items, and the heads-up display. But there are some surprises as well. Buried somewhere in the manual, for example, are hints to help you find medal collectibles in-game.
Even better: Nintendo packed in a bunch of design documents and sketches from Star Fox 2's development, freshly digitized for your enjoyment. Most of the text is in Japanese, but there's wild stuff to see here even if you can't read it.

Whether or not you're getting an SNES Classic (sob), this is a rare glimpse behind the scenes at one of Nintendo's long-lost relics.
